Finally, I can see the wind in real time instead of relying on an uncertain thermalling wind from a long-gone thermal; finally, I no longer have to guess, no longer infer from local windward and leeward. I can now see thermals hugging south-facing slopes, north winds flowing around their lee thermals almost undisturbed, valley winds flowing over the cornerstones of mountains, leaving them unshorn in the middle. Enlightening and horizon-expanding. We are still going to learn so much.
